Critical Edition and Translation of Selected Sutras from the Dirghagama-Manuscript
The main theme of my research belongs to a category of Buddhist philology, especially early Indian Buddhist textual tradition recorded in Sanskrit. More precisely, my current research at PhD program is to transliterate three sūtras of Sanskrit manuscript of the Dīrghāgama, the “Collection of Long (Discourses of the Buddha)”, transmitted by (Mula-)Sarvāstivādins which was one of the most powerful Buddhist sects in ancient India, and to create a critical edition, i.e. a reconstruction of the text, a translation and additional philological research on related sources in Pāli and Classical Chinese.
